Fabio Ghioni’s internationally recognized technical skills have as a main focus information protection, strategic business intelligence, network and asymmetric security and the protection of critical infrastructures for national security. In all the above Fabio Ghioni is recognized as one of the few worldwide leading experts.

Before Telecom Italia S.p.A. he has operated in multinational corporations leaders in the banking, military and telecommunications industry. He has also been working as a consultant for international institutions and governments. Thanks to his recognized vast experience, justice departments in EU and other countries have often taken advantage of Fabio Ghioni’s professional skill as a key investigative consultant in historically crucial international and homeland terrorism cases.

Fabio Ghioni created the first protocols for technical and ICT investigations including forensic analysis and intelligence. All of the above has now become common practice for western justice department’s investigation and prosecution of crimes. In Telecom Italia Group Fabio Ghioni created the Security CTO division and was the first Security CTO in the world. In this capacity he created the Tiger Team, Early Warning Team, Security Labs and Forensics Intelligence, which were considered by the industry as state of the art for the quality and innovation of the service delivered.

Fabio Ghioni is also a journalist and has authored many articles published by national press and publications and white papers dealing with asymmetric, electronic and ICT warfare; in 2005 he published the book “Asymmetric Shadows”, which is a best seller and has been called “… a cult of the underground culture” by leading media pubblications.

Fabio Ghioni fathered few company start ups in internationally, and followed them to their debut in the market. Amongst others, Ikon Corp. a company now leader in advanced unconventional technologies and well known for having been the first to introduce in the industry the protocols and procedures that he created for the justice department related with forensic intelligence analysis and parametric interception.

Fabio Ghioni is an experienced conference speaker holding an average of 20 conferences a year worldwide. He delivers seminars and classes internationally on intelligence, asymmetric warfare, fraud management and terrorism. The participants are representatives of international institutions, managers, researchers and specialists. In 2001 the Ministry of Interior of Italy invited him officially to the G8 meeting of Genoa as an observer at the side of the international police coalition, on call in case of need by the investigative task force. Ministry of Interior, again in 2001, has requested his presence at the G8 Security meeting to present to the delegates the technology innovation achieved in the field of investigation, intelligence and lawful interception. In 2004 he was selected for the Critical Infrastructure Defence Exercise in New Orleans. For the Academic Year 2005/2006 the Ministry of Communications assigned him the class on Security in the Superior Institute of Telecommunications.

Finally Fabio Ghioni fathered the concept of one of the security oriented most browsed web sites in the world: Zone-H.org. Zone-H has now been translated in 15 languages to tackle also the local non-English market. In connection with Zone-H he fathered the graphic novel HERO-Z (www.hero-z.org) that has become in only 2 years an underground cult, mainly in USA, Germany, UK and many far east countries including Japan.
